The main duties include the operation of a combination of equipment including street sweepers, tractors with trailer and dump trucks. Loading of general construction equipment including skid steer, excavators, back hoes and vertical lifts as required after training. Individual will also assist Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials.
Snow removal during the snow season, flexible schedule to accommodate a 4×10 schedule as needed. This position will require periodic on-call scheduling.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience. Must maintain a valid state CDL Class A driver’s license with a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident. (no restrictions). Must have Tanker Endorsement or be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Required to drive manual transmission.
- Experience operating a semi-truck preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- Hazmat endorsements preferred.
Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check. May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, including successfully completing a thorough background investigation. For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS: Must maintain required city/county/state license(s) and/or certification(s), where applicable. Will be required to maintain a valid state commercial driver’s license.
