Scope of Work:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of HR/Employee Relations the Human Resources Manager has overall responsibility for the HR function, including employee relations, development, implementation and administration of HR programs and employment policies, employee recordkeeping, worker’s compensation and team member safety issues, training and workforce development, and compliance with HR laws and regulations. The HR Manager advises managers and employees on the application of employment, benefits and worker’s compensation laws and regulations and employment policies in the contexts of hiring, discipline, employment termination, training, compensation, benefits, leave, equal opportunity, and other human resources issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of company policy, culture and values, and use that understanding to: make recommendations about the resolution of sophisticated and unique employment related issues; and, support vital interactions between colleagues to drive positive outcomes.
  • Engage as a trusted advisor and subject matter authority who provides coaching on critical work-related concerns related (but not limited to); workplace investigations, performance concerns, conflict resolution and critical exit matters.
  • Lead internal investigations in compliance and employee related matters, recommend solutions, and support with the facilitation of the resolution.
  • Engage in and document the interactive process with applicants and employees requesting accommodations due to disability/medical and religious beliefs.
  • Partner with managers on sophisticated performance matters and assess progress; coach manager and employees through corrective action and disciplinary actions.
  • Support and counsel on employee wellbeing concerns as they arise.
  • Partner with Legal to draft, implement and conduct training for various HR policies.
  • Support with HR Compliance matters, including EEO-1 Reporting, audits, labor law posters, etc.
  • Assist with benefits and payroll by consulting with the necessary department.
  • Complete additional HR duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years of HR experience required
  • Experience supporting multiple Government contracts preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Familiarity with ADP or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management system.
  • Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to work independently and interact well with others in a team setting.
  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
