JOB SUMMARY

The Dig Permit Coordinator is responsible for tracking and processing all incoming Dig Permit applications and Outage requests. This entails processing paperwork, creating Service Orders, printing accurate maps, tracking service orders for timeliness and screening all Dig Permits and Outages for completeness.

Duties include but not limited to: Separating application components, dispatching locate requests to internal and external entities, issuing permits and processing Outages for notification.  Track projects from start to finish and verify compliance. Delegate work assignments and task out technicians.  

The position requires constant interface with customers, and the ability to diplomatically address difficult situations. Will often need to coach customers on proper protocol and process to complete Dig Permit applications and Outage requests correctly.

Knowledge of Fort Carson building locations and streets is helpful but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

High School Diploma or Equivalent – A minimum of least two years of responsible position experience; combination of education and experience.
